GT Mach One Pro BMX Bike
I have the 2008 mach one pro and i use this bike to race with i love the lime green and the look of the bike for a steel frame the bike is very light 26 lbs the only thing i didnt like that the rims cant stand the abuse from a track the rear rim is weak and folded but was able to fix it the front rim folded twice but didnt bend the hub are great sealed mohawk hubs.

K2 Merge Road Bike 2008
This bike is designed to be a commuter bike, so that's what you get. It's not a carbon Cervelo, so don't expect that. What you do get are big beefy spokes mounted to pretty tough rims, a nice, comfortable ride with stable handling a decent drivetrain, and a paint finish that looks the same dirty or clean. Not a bad looking bike either.

Avid AD-1.0L
These levers are handed down to my third bike now (always felt the best). Bought them stock in '99 on my commuter. They are scratched, gouged and banged to h3ll bu still feel great.
Light, dependable, Look Good Well, i bought a Kona Caldera last year, i was checking to see what brakes felt good for my price range. I came to the Kona

Aztec Pads
They showed only minimal wear and did most of the work. So if you are trying to save a few bucks like I was, forget it! Buy the Kool Stop Eagle's. These last forever, 4years and counting being riden 2-3 times a week over gravel, mud and sand. Don't squeal as long as they're set up right

Avid BB7 Mechanical Disc Brake
Great stopping power, easy to adjust on the fly. This is a great upgrade for those that don't want to keep it simple without hydraulic brakes. I only upgraded with the front Disc (160mm) and rear V-Brake. It works VERY well for an XC bike to terrorize the local trails.

Avid Arch Supreme
Super easy installation. No tools necessary on the trail. Great stopping power
As a review of longtime use and abuse. They are built in a fashion that precludes ever needing to replace them. This brake taught me how to build wheels. I have never seen a set of rim brakes destroy rims like these do. My first season claimes a Sun Rhino-Lite.

EBC Brakes Gold
My stock Avid pads drove me up the wall. I am a bit of a freak about a tuned and quiet bike and I could not get those things to shut up. price, power, break in period

Avid Juicy Seven
Completely unable to get these brakes to stop rubbing, binding, squealing, and vibrating. I have given up on these brakes. One finger braking is easily achieved with awesome stopping power. Easy modulation. Simple pad replacement.

Search Dia-Compe 737 V-brakes
I used to have nothing but good things to say about these calipers. Of course the pads and the levers are crap, but I always liked the arms. I considered them to be superior in every way to Shimano LX Vees. Very inexpensive for V Brakes. I work at a bike shop and I would choose these brakes over a lot of the other crap I see.

Shimano XTR Pads
all you weenies complaining about the squeal -- it's the surface between you brake bosses and you brake arm fittings that is getting worn. Good stopping power.
